It depends on the student, and on his/her age and level. I offer 30 minute, 45 minute, and 60 minute lessons. Generally, I'll recommend something along the lines of 30 minutes for beginner, 45 minutes for intermediate, and 60 minutes for more advanced, although there may be some variation between those times depending on the student. I would generally start the student off with my recommendations and work from there.

Yes. Without a way to practice and consistently review the information discussed in the lesson during the week, weekly lessons will basically be futile. If you don't currently own a piano, they are not expensive - quality upright instruments can often be found on Kijiji, Marketplace and elsewhere.

No. There are other teachers who can teach other instruments. I teach only piano and music theory, which I have taken personally to a high level.
